  • Is my juice made fresh to order?

Yes! When you step up to the counter and place your order, we make your drink right there, on the spot. We recommend drinking it soon after purchasing to get the maximum amount of nutrients, which tend to break down slightly once exposed to air.

  • What’s the difference between fresh squeezed and cold pressed juice?

Your order is made right there on the spot using centrifugal juicers which use spinning blades to extract juice from fruits and vegetables. But you can also pick up our bottled juices on sale in our store refrigerators. These bottled cold pressed juices are made with a hydraulic press at our USDA Certified Organic production facility. This method uses high pressure to extract the juice, which preserves the highest nutritional content possible and delivers pulp-free juices that are superb for detoxification programs. At Juice Generation we offer both made-to-order centrifugal juices and cold pressed bottled versions because it's a question of taste and convenience!

  • Is your produce organic?

Much of it is. Availability of organic produce varies seasonally, so we often select locally grown, pesticide-free produce rather than certified-organic produce shipped from far away. Year-round and unequivocally, our cold pressed juices and production facility are USDA certified organic.

  • What is HPP?

We use High Pressure Processing (HPP) for our bottled juices and shots to destroy potentially harmful bacteria while keeping all of the nutrients. HPP is a method of preserving the juice using extremely high pressure.

  • Are your juices kosher?

Many of our cold pressed juices are certified kosher when sealed and bearing the OU symbol.

  • Do you have gluten-free offerings?

Yes! All of our juices and smoothies are gluten-free. We also offer a range of gluten-free snacks and baked goods.

  • Are your smoothie bowls gluten-free?

Although the ingredients in our hemp granola do not include wheat or any gluten-containing products, the granola is not certified gluten-free as it is not produced in a gluten-free facility.
The granola contains rolled oats and as this can sometimes bring gluten cross-contamination, those with serious gluten intolerances should avoid this product. The granola is certified organic.

  • Are your juices and smoothies vegan?

Most of our menu is vegan. That said, we do use whey protein in Hustle + Muscle™ and Protein Knockout® smoothies. Honey is also used throughout the Juice Farmacy® menu. If you'd like a plant-based substitute let us know – we're happy to make the swap.

  • What type of plant milk do you use?

Our smoothies and bowls have the option of unsweetened almond milk or unsweetened oat milk. They are all non-dairy and vegan. Our plant milks do not contain carrageenan.

  • What sweeteners do you offer?

You can choose to sweeten any smoothie with organic dates or organic agave nectar—a plant-derived sweetener with a light, caramel taste that is made from the same succulent used to make tequila. But if you don’t want any added sweetener, let us know and we can leave it out.

  • What is açai?

Açaí, known as a "superfruit," is a deep reddish-purple berry native to Central and South America and a potent source of antioxidants. Its sweet, rich almost chocolatey flavor is featured in our smoothies, and the main ingredient in our Açaí Bowls.
The açaí we serve is certified organic.

  • What is wheatgrass?

This alkalizing, nutrient-rich grass is a powerful detoxifier and an excellent source of iron, calcium, magnesium, amino acids, and chlorophyll. While it is part of the wheat family, wheatgrass is gluten-free. Try it in Wheatgrass, or in The Professional®

  • How do you calculate the nutritional information?

We calculate the nutritional information for Juice Generation recipes using Edamam software and additional independent certifying agencies. All data is rounded to meet current U.S. FDA NLEA Guidelines. Due to the handcrafted nature of our juices and smoothies, actual nutritional values may vary slightly.

  • Why do you only offer one size smoothie?

Our recipes are standardized for quality and consistency at 20oz so that you’re guaranteed a delicious drink every time. We’re happy to split our regular size into two 12oz cups if you’d like to share it.

  • Why do you use frozen fruit in your smoothies?

We freeze bananas and some other fruits because it makes for thicker, tastier smoothies—and lets us source quality ingredients year round.

  • What if I don’t like very cold smoothies?

We do add ice for thicker, colder smoothies—but if you’d like us to leave it out, just ask!

  • Where do you prepare your vegan foods and salads?

Our central commissary in Long Island City delivers them to our Manhattan stores every morning.

STORE POLICIES / REFUNDS

  • Can you juice my produce if I bring it to you?

No, we can’t. To ensure safety and cleanliness, we can only serve the produce that we purchase and clean ourselves.

  • Can I add my own powder or medication to the smoothie?

When you have the drink in your hands you can do whatever you want! But it’s against the law for us to take anything from you—produce, powders, supplements—to process through our machines. Our counter only works in one direction—from us to you.

  • Can I bring my own reusable container?

Yes you can, and we're happy to fill your container instead of ours. However, you will still receive the standard product portion no matter what the size of your container.

  • Do I save if I bring back my mason jar and bowl?

Yes, you receive a 5% discount when you bring back either container back for a refill.

  • Do you have public bathrooms?

Unfortunately, most of our stores do not have a public bathroom accessible to customers.

  • Can I bring my dog into the store?

We love animals, but unfortunately no pets inside - unless it's an ADA Service Animal. The Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) defines a service animal as a dog that is individually trained to do work or perform tasks for a person with a disability.

  • Can I bring my bike into the store?

Please leave your bike outside. Our stores are small, and we need as much room as we can to accommodate juice-thirsty folks.

  • Do you offer a delivery service?

If you're lucky enough to be in NYC, you can place an order directly through our website or app and have any of our in-store products delivered to your door. You can also order via our delivery partners.

Looking for nationwide delivery of our cold pressed juices? Visit  Cooler Cleanse to try a 3-Day juice cleanse.

  • Why don't you accept $100 bills?

Sorry for the inconvenience, but we can’t take them because of problems with counterfeit bills. The largest bill we can accept is a $50.

  • Why do you charge a sales tax?

It is New York State law and we pay this tax to the State.

  • Can I get a refund?

We’re happy to remake anything you ordered at the time of purchase if it does not meet your expectations. Please check your order before leaving the store as we do not offer refunds. This policy is printed on the store receipt.

SHIPPING / REFUNDS

  • Where do you deliver?

Cooler Cleanse delivers to the continental U.S. via FedEx Shipping.

  • Do you deliver throughout New York City?

Yes! Check out our delivery page for more information about NYC delivery and pickup.

  • When can I schedule a delivery?

FedEx will deliver your coolers Tuesday through Friday. To ensure maximum freshness, we do not schedule orders to arrive on Saturday, Sunday or Monday.

  • What time will my juices arrive?

We ship via FedEx shipping. Depending on your location, some juices may arrive as late as 5:00pm. You will also receive a tracking number via email the day before your scheduled delivery date, so you can track your order on Fedex.com. We recommend that you start your cleanse on the day the juices are delivered to ensure freshness.

  • What if my delivery is late?

Due to weather conditions or other FedEx delays, your package may arrive after the estimated time. Don’t worry – your juices are packaged to stay cold and will remain fresh. Snack on a piece of fruit and sip on plenty of herbal tea and water until they arrive. If your delivery arrives later in the day, it is perfectly fine to wait and start your cleanse the next day. Just make sure you refrigerate your juices as soon as possible and keep them unopened until you are ready to drink them. We are unable to issue shipping refunds due to a FedEx delay.

  • What kind of packaging do you use?

We ship your juices inside an inflatable insulated liner that converts a cardboard box into a cooler. Your juice will arrive packed in ice and chilled to approximately 40 degrees. The juices should be refrigerated as soon as you receive your delivery to ensure that they remain fresh.

  • What if I need to cancel my order?

We do not offer refunds after your order is confirmed. If you need to change or postpone your order, you must notify us at least 72 hours before your start date. We will give you a credit to use at any available time in the following 12-month period. For example, if you are scheduled for a Thursday start date, you must inform us of changes by 9 a.m. Monday. We do not offer credit for cancellations made less than 72 hours before your start date. We cannot offer credit if you cancel during the cleanse. If there are medical reasons for canceling after the 72-hour deadline, we ask you to submit a doctor’s note. Requests for credit based on medical issues will be handled on an individual basis. We reserve the right to make decisions case by case.
